Welcome to a New Dawn at The Rising Sun.

Like myself, The Rising Sun has had a rich and interesting history so my aim was to be sympathetic with the décor that suits the pub's unique interior but with a little twist and my somewhat eccentric style!

Myself and my staff aim to offer a relaxed, simple service - providing high quality food and drink, but don't panic....

The bar staff will guide you into making the right choice of Gin & Tonic   (If not, I will drink them for you as a gesture of good will).

As for the menus, I have a simple mission statement;

"Fresh food, cooked well with minimum fuss!"

I prefer the flavour and quality of the products to speak for themselves.

The food is almost exclusively homemade on site, including the sausages, smoked bacon, pies and puddings, ice-creams, chutneys and sauces or are locally sourced.

The menu changes regularly depending on season and availability.

As well as the Dinner menu, I have created a Lunch and Bar Snack menu and a Sunday Lunch which has a little twist!

We also have a Gin & Tapas menu (with 48 hours notice).

We have a Take-Away menu and soon a shop selling all my homemade bits, from home-cured and smoked bacon to hot horseradish sauce, jams and chutneys.

 

If you have any dietary requirements then please let my staff know. A vegan menu is available upon request (48 hours notice).

 

I also now have a private dining area that sits 14 and is ideal for private functions or business meetings.

This charity is held closely to my heart and solely dedicated to supporting mental illness in the catering trade which is now rampant and for their help sorting me out....

....So £1 from every bottle of House Wine and 10p from every pint of Patriotteric is donated to this incredible charity.
